100 Day Challenge – The Finale!

I mentioned in a recent blog post that I had been taking part in a 100 Day Practice Challenge, in which you commit to practicing a new skill, or developing an existing one, for 100 consecutive days.

I was working on pieces from the Woody Allen movie ‘Sweet and Lowdown’, which tells the story of a fictional 1930s guitar virtuoso Emmet Ray – an irresponsible, free-spending, arrogant, obnoxious, alcohol-abusing, miserable human being, who was also arguably the best guitarist in the world (except maybe for some Gypsy in France – Django Reinhardt.)

I completed six pieces from the movie, and recently recorded them. The results are below. It’s not perfect, but I’m very pleased with the results overall. Turns out that when you practice a thing every day, you get better at it! Who knew?!

And what else could I title the video but… Sweet and Lockdown.

Enjoy!
