Fittingly, since it’s the first of July tomorrow, here’s the classic Irish summer anthem July by Mundy.

The trickiest thing about this is probably getting used to the different chord shapes when you’re in the drop-D tuning. After that, you can throw in some Travis picking and a few simple enough chord shapes, and away you go!

Because this video is firstly for use by the Ballagh Choir of Ages, the lesson isn’t as detailed as many of my other lessons. That said, there’s a good bit of info in there, and along with the Travis picking vids linked above, you should have everything you need.
