While the transcription is accurate to what I played on the recording, it isn’t a 100% faithful copy of the bass part in the actual recording, though it’s definitely in the right ballpark. A key aspect of playing a tune like this is not to get in the way of the guitarist. The bass AND the guitar shouldn’t be too busy at the same time or it’ll just sound like a mess. So while the harmony is complex, and you have to outline the changes accurately, you also have to adopt the famous ‘less-is-more’ approach in order to leave space for the guitar part. I think I succeeded in this effort.
